It’s squeaky bottom time for the Connor family in tonight’s Coronation Street double-bill as both Carla and Aidan face the surgeon’s knife.

Tonight the rest of the clan will watch on in horror as the siblings are wheeled down to theatre for the dangerous procedure – does it go ahead without any complications for either of them?
Both Aidan and Carla are nervous about the operation before they’re taken down because it carries significant risks.
While we know Carla comes through – as she has two big announcements to make to her family following the op – we’re not convinced about poor Aidan.
It’s common knowledge that Shayne Ward is bowing out of the ITV soap this year, but could that exit be coming sooner than any of us thought?
Corrie fans certainly think so, with many of them taking to social media to predict the former factory boss doesn’t make it out of the operating theatre.
Surely not??
“Aidan is 100% gonna die during the transplant and Eva tells him about the baby on his deathbed n then she leaves (ps. need to stop thinking I’m a soap detective) #corrie,” predicted one viewer.
Another agreed, tweeting: “Carla won’t die but I think Aidan might… Shayne Ward is leaving right? #Corrie.”
And a third said: “I don’t know, I kinda have the feeling that Aidan’s gonna die #corrie.”
Shayne announced he was leaving the cobbles last year after two years playing Aidan Connor.

Aidan currently doesn’t know that his ex-fiance Eva Price is pregnant with his baby and is planning on handing it over to Toyah Battersby.
Cath Tyldesley who plays Eva also revealed she’ll be exiting the soap this year too.
