Well, kind of.

Rumours of Big Jim making a comeback have been circulating for weeks since Corrie producer Kate Oates revealed she was planning on bringing a huge character back to Weatherfield.
The rumours then picked up some steam when Metro.co.uk ran an unconfirmed report that Jim would definitely be popping up soon.
An alleged source told the site: “With Jim’s release date from prison approaching later this year, it is indeed something that Coronation Street bosses are in talks about. Bringing back Jim seems inevitable and a great way to stir up drama.
“While nothing is 100% confirmed at this stage, it is certainly the plan that we will see Jim on the cobbles again which will give Liz and Steve plenty to do.”
A Corrie fan decided to approach Charles directly on Twitter and ask him when we’d be seeing Jim on our screens again.

Which isn’t a denial – but doesn’t make things much clearer at all.
Jim was last seen on the show back in 2014 when he appeared in prison scenes alongside Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).

As Liz’s husband and Steve’s dad, Jim was a regular on the cobbles between 1989 and 2000.
Since bowing out of the show, he’s since made several guest appearances.
