Coronation Street’s Alex Bain has denied that he’s split from the mother of his unborn child.
Yesterday reports suggested the actor, who plays Simon Barlow in the ITV soap, had seemingly parted ways with teenager Levi Selby just a few weeks after it was revealed she was pregnant.

In May, The Sun reported that the 16-year-olds were expecting their first child together.
They announced the happy news by sharing a scan of their unborn baby on Facebook.
However, yesterday a new post on Levi’s account led some to believe the young couple were over.

The Sun quoted a source, who told the newspaper: “Levi was proud to tell the world she and Alex were going to be parents.
“But things haven’t been running smoothly between them and now he’s told her it’s over. Everyone’s hoping it’s not because he already feels tied down.”
But on his own social media, Alex has set the record straight and confirmed that they are still a couple, and looking forward to their baby’s arrival.
The baby is due on December 8.
Alex has played Peter Barlow’s son on the street for the last decade, and is currently studying for his GCSEs at school in Lancashire.
He’s been on-screen since he was just six years old and has been involved in some dramatic storylines, including domestic violence against his adoptive mum Leanne Battersby.
His real mum died, leaving him to be raised by alcoholic dad Peter, played by Chris Gascoyne.
And this year viewers have been shocked to see him mixed up with a violent gang.
