We were devastated when Corrie fave Cath Tydesley, who plays fabulous Eva Price, announced she was leaving the Street.
And since then we’ve been trying to work out exactly how the bolshy barmaid will say farewell to Weatherfield.
Now Cath has revealed Eva’s “hopefully” not being killed off – yay!
And she’s even teased that her alter ego could return to the cobbles one day.
We’re totally on board with that!
Cath was appearing on Loose Women earlier today as a guest panellist when she was quizzed about how Eva is going to leave.
“I adore that place,” she said of Coronation Street. “As far as I’m aware the door is being left open.”
So there’s a possibility that Eva could be back one day – though we might have to wait a while to see her return, if Cath’s got anything to do with it.
“I want to see her back at 80-odd years old,” she joked. “With her boobs up to her eyebrows.”
Now that’s definitely something we’d love to see!
But before then, Cath did drop a few hints about how Eva might leave.

At the moment, Eva’s secretly pregnant with ex-fiance Aidan’s baby. She’s plotting with Toyah to have the baby and give the tot to Toyah and Peter to bring up.
Peter’s unaware that their surrogate mother Jackie lost the baby she was carrying for them, and that Toyah’s going to take Eva’s baby instead.
And sister Leanne is also completely in the dark.
Shayne Ward, who plays Aidan, is leaving the show too and many fans have speculated Aidan and Eva could go together. But Cath told the Loose Women that Aidan is going before Eva. Hmm. Interesting!
