Eileen Phelan may soon have to deal with a murderous husband, but she’s going to get some surprising support.
While killer Pat is Eileen’s most pressing issue, ever since she arrived on the cobbles 18 years ago she’s been at war with Gail Rodwell.
The pair of Weatherfield matriarchs have clashed more times than viewers can count.
They have had some of the most memorable brawls on the cobbles, with them physically fighting at least three times.
But now the pair will be brought together by their shared misfortune with men.

Next week viewers will watch as Eileen discovers the horrifying truth about her husband while they’re on a secluded holiday.
And as his crimes are exposed in Weatherfield, Eileen will be left fighting for her life.
But that isn’t the end of the drama.
As once Eileen returns to Coronation Street, she will come under suspicion herself over what she knew about Phelan’s many, many misdeeds.
However, her luck will be in when Gail of all people comes to her rescue.
Having been through almost the exact same thing with her own killer husband, Richard Hillman, Gail will become a support to her long-time enemy.

Corrie boss Kate Oates told The Sun Online: “There are some scenes that have been shot. It is a good hook up with Gail.”
And it won’t just be Gail joining the Murderers’ Wives Club, as fellow member Fiz Stape will join to lend her own advice after her experience with her killer hubby John Stape.
Kate added: “And also with Fiz, because let’s face it, they’ve all been through it.”
