Appearing on Lorraine, Kym said that fans have compared Michelle and Steve to the iconic couple Rachel and Ross from the popular sitcom Friends.
“Everyone says this to me all the time,” she said. “They always say we are very much the Ross and Rachel of Coronation Street.
“We tend to keep going around to each other again. You never know. Who knows what’s to come in the future, but at the moment, she is very much ‘Team Robert’.”
Michelle and Steve first started dating in 2007, but they split up when he cheated on her with Becky Granger.
He married Becky in 2009, but they divorced in 2011 and she moved to Barbados with her new fiancé Danny Stratton.
Michelle and Steve then got back together in 2012 and she became his fifth – YES FIFTH! – wife when they married in 2015.
It wasn’t happily ever after, however, as they split in 2017 after Steve confessed to fathering a son, Oliver, after a one-night stand with Leanne Battersby who he also drunkenly proposed to.
Tragically, Michelle and Steve had a son Ruairi, but he was born prematurely at 23 weeks and did not survive.
