Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver was left speechless after her character Eileen Grimshaw appeared to kill Pat Phelan.
The actress who plays embattled Eileen in the ITV soap ‘collapsed’ after filming the dramatic scenes where she had to take on killer Phelan.
Speaking to the Mirror, Sue revealed: “To be honest I just collapsed when I got home.
“I shut the doors and didn’t want to see anybody.”
She also joked she had to ask her partner to leave the house just to give her the space to recover from the scenes.

Sue added: “Please don’t speak to me. I can’t speak. I can’t actually form the words.
“Why don’t you go to the pub for an hour? In fact, why don’t you go to the pub for 12 hours.”
Eileen murdered Phelan by kicking him off the lighthouse wall and into the sea.
Phelan had gone too far trying to get her to save him when he claimed to have her son Todd locked up.
Screaming ‘liar’ she began stamping on his hands to make sure he would never hurt anyone again.
But fans aren’t convinced he is dead, and suspect he’s going to make a return later to wreak unholy revenge on the cobbles.

And Eileen will soon be arrested for murder in a shock twist, which will probably make her regret killing him off quite so quickly.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
