Corrie fans were left swooning last night after David Platt unveiled a new look, turning him into an instant heart-throb.
David, played by Jack P Shepherd, had a busy night in Wednesday’s Corrie double-bill as he discovered his sister’s boyfriend had cheated on her.

After catching Gary Windass and Nicola Rubinstein sharing a tender moment on the street, David confronted Gaz – tricking him into confessing he’d kissed Nic behind girlfriend Sarah’s back.
David seemed to buy Gary’s story, not knowing that Nicola is actually pregnant with Gary’s baby after a one night stand last month.
Dave warned Gary that if he hurt his sister, he’d hurt him.
And if we were Gary, we’d take that threat pretty seriously. This is the guy that covered himself in petrol and tried to drive a car full of explosives into a court house to get revenge.
David also had love on his mind as he asked girlfriend, Shona Ramsay, to move into No.8 with him, Gail and the kids.
A delighted Shona agreed, with Gail helping her pack up her belongings from Eileen’s.
But viewers were much more interested in David’s hot new look than what he was actually getting up to on-screen.
Fans flocked to Twitter to rave about his beard and messy hair, before questioning if it was okay to fancy him now.
One viewer tweeted: “Can we just discuss how great David Platt looks with his new beard.”
Another said: “Put a beard on a man and it makes them 100 times better, David Platt has just proved it”
A third added: “I’m crushing on David Platt with a beard.”
While a fourth said: “Oddly fancy David Platt with a beard.”
No wonder Shona didn’t think twice about moving in with him and that winning face-furniture.
It was the second time this week Corrie viewers were loving a character’s new look.
On Monday, Robert Preston stunned fans as he showed off his new ‘silver fox’ look when Michelle Connor visited him in prison.
Rob had clearly run out of black hair dye during his jail sentence and had decided to go completely grey – and it was a hit with both Michelle and the fans.
