Corrie fans were left open-mouthed after one of the soap’s stars turned up on another show last night.
Tristan Gemmill, who plays Michelle’s husband Robert Preston in the programme, made an appearance on ITV’s Big Star’s Little Stars – the game show where celebs and their kids or grandkids answer questions about each other.
And no sooner had he opened his mouth than viewers were tweeting about how “disconcerted” they were.

Tristan plays a northerner in Corrie, but it soon became clear from his voice that the actor is from the south of England.
The 51-year-old is, in fact, from Kensington – one of London’s swankiest boroughs.
And Coronation Street fans were left bemused by his change in persona.
One viewer tweeted: “I literally had no idea that Robert off of #corrie doesn’t actually speak like Robert off of #corrie in real life.”

Another added: “I’m disconcerted by Robert from Corrie’s southern accent.”
And a third agreed: “Robert off #corrie sounds quite posh.”

Tristan was on Big Star’s Little Stars with his son Wilfred, and the pair came out victorious, fending off the challenge of Abbey Clancy and Sarah Beeny, and their respective kids.
It turned out to be a double whammy for Abbey, as her daughter Sophia – one of her three children with footballer Peter Crouch – dropped her in it during the show.

The seven-year-old had the studio audience in stitches as she revealed that Abbey, 32, had once made an admiring comment about one of the family’s neighbours.

She announced that her mum had described the chap in question as being “hot in Lycra”.
An embarrassed-looking Abbey quickly denied it, telling host Stephen Mulhern: “I don’t think he looks fit at all.”
