Gary Windass is knocked for six in Corrie next week when he wonders if Pat Phelan is as dead as everyone thinks – and tracks him down to campsite in Wales.
He starts feeling suspicious when Nicola Rubinstein tells him about a new friend she’s made in an online group for expectant mums.
She shows him a message from the new ‘friend’ and Gary is horrified to see they’re based in Abergele in Wales.
He starts doing some research and after making some calls, tracks down a man fitting Phelan’s description who’s staying on a caravan site in Abergele.
Gary ropes in his mate Joe and they head off to Wales.
But what will they find when they get there?
The police have already told Eileen Grimshaw that they don’t have any reason to suspect that Phelan is alive, even after she got a phonecall from him.
But Nicola’s new friend makes Gary think Phelan is spying on them all through his pregnant daughter’s online group.
As Gary and Joe pull up at the campsite in Wales, Gary is shocked to spot his old enemy in the distance – alive and well.
Corrie have confirmed Phelan’s final stand will take place in the week beginning May 23rd.
The ITV soap released a dark trailer at the weekend which showed Phelan coming face to face with all the people he feels have betrayed him.
