Gary Windass’s plan to take revenge on Pat Phelan hits a small snag tonight in Coronation Street.
Viewers watched on Friday as Gary tracked the cobbles killer to a campsite in Wales.
The former soldier readied himself with a baseball bat to take on the man who ruined his mum’s life and murdered his friend Luke Britton.
But in a first look spoiler video posted to Instagram by the Corrie team, Gary looks to have bitten off more than he can chew.
Apparently having forgotten that Phelan has murdered multiple people and has survived numerous near-death experiences, Gary goes to fight him.

Only it can now be revealed that Phelan quickly gets the upper hand.
In the shock video posted to the soap’s account, Phelan begins to strangle Gary as he desperately fights for air.
“Hello Gary,” Phelan creepily says to Garry while strangling him and without breaking a sweat.

“Long time no see,” he adds as he raises a baseball bat above Gary’s head and prepares to strike.
However, fans shouldn’t be too worried about Gary as actor Mikey North has revealed he recently signed up for another year on the cobbles.
“I’ve just signed again for another year so this will be my 11th year which is crazy, but it’s been my best year, I’m very happy at Corrie,” he told the Manchester Evening News.

He added: “Kate [Oates] has been a great producer for Gary. She’s really renewed my energy in the show.
“Gary has been much more of a central part of the show and I’ve been involved in some really nice storylines, culminating in the week ahead.”
