Furious Sophie Webster lashes out at her former love rival Rana Nazir in Coronation Street next week, slapping her across the face.
The altercation, which takes place in Roy’s Rolls, comes after Sophie’s little brother Jack is rushed to Weatherfield General suffering from sepsis – also known as blood poisoning.

Sophie is livid and looking for someone to blame so she confronts Rana – who is now dating Sophie’s ex-girlfriend Kate Connor – and tells her the medical centre have been negligent for missing Jack’s symptoms.
As Rana tries to defend the doctor who told Sophie Jack was just suffering from a virus and to take him home, Sophie loses her cool and slaps Rana around the face.
She then heads over to see Adam Barlow at the solicitors’ office and enquires about suing the medical centre for negligence.
Jack’s life is left hanging in the balance after he’s sent home from school and found collapsed on the stairs by Faye Windass and Seb Franklin.
The pair take him to the medical centre where a doctor reassures Sophie that Jack is fine and just suffering from a virus.
But when medic Ali Neeson calls in to check on Kevin Webster’s son, he’s shocked to see discolouration in Jack’s fingers and toes – a sign of sepsis.
Ali calls an ambulance and Jack is rushed in where it’s confirmed he’s suffering from the life-threatening condition.
The Websters then play a waiting game as they’re told the following 24 hours will be crucial in whether or not Jack will pull through.
As Kevin keeps a vigil beside Jack’s bed, Sophie secretly blames herself as Jack was with her when he fell over and grazed his knee, which led to the infection.
It’s thought that Kevin will have to make the devastating decision to have one of Jack’s limbs amputated to save his life as the infection spreads.
Will Jack make a full recover? And will Sophie follow through with her threats to sue?
