Coronation Street viewers were left in fits of laughter during last night’s episodes, when Daniel Osborne came to Sinead Tinker’s rescue – with a very unusual prop.
Sinead – who is Daniel’s ex-girlfriend – has been struggling with her new role as stepmother to her boyfriend, Chesney Brown’s, five-year-old son, Joseph.

The little boy has recently moved in with them following the death of his mum, Katy, in a car accident in Portugal – where she lived with her son.
But Sinead has found the grieving tot to be difficult, as he won’t speak and acts defiantly towards her. In last night’s episodes, he broke their washing machine after ignoring Sinead’s requests to stop kicking it.
Bagging up the washing, she decided to head to the launderette when disaster struck.
Her plastic bag split and the family’s dirty laundry was suddenly all over the street. Oh, the shame.
Luckily for Sinead, Daniel was on hand to help her, conveniently whipping a black bin bag out of his pocket. Because, that’s a totally normal thing to have in your pocket, isn’t it?
Viewers took to Twitter to share their amusement at Daniel’s pocket contents.
One fan cheekily tweeted: “I’m glad Daniel, like everyone else I know, always carries a spare binbag for laundry-based emergencies.”
Another added: “A knight with shining bin liner – only in Weatherfield.”
A third wrote: “As if you walk around the streets with a roll of bin bags in your coat pocket.”
While a fourth said: “I know Daniel is super clever but only a genius would carry around a roll of black sacks, in case a clothing emergency from a cheap white sack would arise.”

Other fans quickly pointed out that Daniel had just come out of the corner shop, so had bought the bin liners from there.
But we prefer to think he just carries them around with him at all times – to help damsels in laundry distress.
It’s good to be prepared.
