Viewers know that Kayla is Neil’s daughter, looking for revenge on those she believes have wronged her dad, but at the moment she has managed to keep her true identity a secret.
But actress Mollie Winnard, who plays cunning Kayla, has admitted that her dad’s appeal being overturned has just made her character more determined to get revenge.
Mollie told Radio Times: “Kayla is a daddy’s girl, Neil is her whole world. When Neil loses his appeal that’s the moment everything switches for her. She decides to do whatever it takes to protect him.
“She believes Craig knows Bethany lied about Neil and he can’t cope with it, and that’s what has triggered his OCD.
“She tells Craig that she loves him and sleeps with him to make him feel this attachment towards her. She’s really scared of someone finding out who she really is because if they do, she loses everything.
