As if it’s not enough that Piers Morgan can now share more of his views via longer length tweets, he is now threatened to release his own Christmas album.
Yes, the presenter said if Bradley Walsh and Nick Knowles can have hits with songs they’ve covered with their crooning voices, why can’t he?
“It would be country meets Johnny Depp,” Piers promised of his sound, singing a few bars and playing an air guitar to give the audience a taste of what they can expect.
“And that’s when I am on day nine of having man flu,” he said.
Amazingly, nearly half of GMB viewers said they would buy his album.
A poll run on the GMB Twitter feed found a whooping 46% would love to see Piers hit the Christmas number one spot.
Some said they would buy it “for a laugh” and others said they’d back it if it was for a good cause.
“People are watching this saying, ‘yes, Piers, yes!'” he said excitedly as he seemed to be giving what started as a joke serious consideration.

He then added: “Do you know what I am going to do it! Bradley Walsh has been outselling Elvis!”
He then asked his co-host Susanna Reid if she could be tempted to perform a duet with him to “boost sales”.
She replied: “Not going to happen Piers Morgan!”
