Britain’s Got Talent viewers were left in tears of joy after Simon Cowell pressed his golden buzzer for father and son act, Tim and Jack Goodacre, following their emotional duet.
The show supremo told Tim and Jack that they reminded him of his close bond with young son Eric, four.
And their original song, The Lucky Ones, had fans reaching for the tissues as they flooded the pair with praise.
Schoolboy Jack, 12, and 43-year-old dad Tim were left stunned when Simon announced: “This says it all,” as he leaned over from his chair to press the golden buzzer, putting them straight through to the ITV show’s live semi-finals.
After leading a standing ovation, he got up on stage to congratulate them and told the pair: “Such a great song, just magic. It reminded me of my boy.
“You two are fantastic. That was a moment, so pure, so great.”
Amanda Holden said: “I was a mess throughout the whole thing. It was an amazing golden buzzer.”
