Strictly professional dancer Janette Manrara has revealed her tips for avoiding the show’s dreaded ‘curse’.
Janette, who married fellow Strictly dancer Aljaz Skorjanec earlier this year has said a deep friendship and lots of communication is the key to keeping your relationship strong.
The ‘Strictly curse’ has claimed numerous victims over the years. Most recently the show’s professional dancers Karen and Kevin Clifton are caught up in media speculation, as well as Louise and Jamie Redknapp, who are set to divorce.
But Janette isn’t worried. She told express.co.uk, “Aljaz is my best friend and that is probably the biggest secret to our relationship. We tell each other everything.”
Janette claims that communication is the key to making your relationship work – especially when you’re miles apart when Strictly Come Dancing is on our screens.

With Aljaz partnered with Emmerdale’s Gemma Atkinson he has been spending most of his week training in the North of England. Janette was teamed with JLS singer Aston Merrygold until they were voted from the show.
Janette also revealed that she is good friends with Gemma, 33, and said she is, “the loveliest person.”
The couple apparently use FaceTime to keep up to date with what’s going on in each other’s lives and Janette has admitted they’re constantly on the phone.
“Communication and being able to talk all the time is what’s so important – that’s what gets us through anything like this.

“Aljaz and I are just so happily in love we do really miss each other and when we see each other we are just so happy to be together. It has been hard when we are not together because we miss each other. We have just moved into a brand new flat and we want to be home together 24/7.”
The professional dancers might have only been married for a matter of months, but they have known each other for years.
They met when they were touring for dance show Burn The Floor, and are now about to star in their very own show called Remembering Fred, which is a celebration off legend Fred Astaire.
