Dancing On Ice fans think Brian McFadden in costume looks more than Rylan than film idol

Can you see the resemblance?

| Updated:

Cheeky Dancing On Ice fans have scoffed at Brian McFadden’s likeness to Hollywood star John Travolta after the skating fave said he was “channelling” the actor for his performance this evening.

The 38-year-old has proved a huge hit with viewers – and has gained the backing of as many fans for his behind-the-scenes antics at the ITV show as he has for his skills on the rink.

But a snap of the singer with his hair and trimmed beard coloured black, uploaded to Instagram, had followers in hysterics after it was pointed out he more resembles a Celebrity Big Brother legend than a cinematic one.

“Not your inner @rylan then? 😉” joked one fan in response to Brian’s mention of the Grease star.

“@rylan eat your heart out 👀,” commented another.

A third agreed: “Thought it was Rylan 😁.”

And a fourth claimed Bri was trying to pinch the TV host’s style, remarking: “@rylan , @brianmcfadden123 is trying to steal your look! 👀👀.”

Those watching at home also allowed themselves a giggle at Brian’s appearance when he took to the ice with pro partner Alex Murphy.

But – ahead of the declaration of who will be booted off the show – Brian entered a fantastic showing in his Pulp Fiction-themed skate, which was introduced by Boyzone pal Keith Duffy in a surprise cameo.

Furthermore, he racked up his highest points score of the series so far, bagging 28.5 from the judges.

Both Jayne Torvill and Ashley Banjo were wowed by Brian and Alex, announcing their skate as the best they have shown off so far.

“You’re moving in the right direction,” Jason Gardiner begrudgingly admitted.
