She said on Lorraine: “I did ice skate when I was a child for a couple of years until I was about nine.
“I was in a competition and I fell, I stuck my blades in the ice. The ice shot up like a shard and cut my chin open, and that was the end of my skating career. I’m 49 this year so I haven’t been on the ice for around 40 years.”
She added: “Yesterday (25.09.19) was my very first session. I really enjoyed it. I didn’t fall. I enjoyed it.
“I was a bit scared, because the ice was really glossy and I thought, ‘Oh, that’s when I fell.’ I had this flashback.

“I’ve auditioned for it twice before so it’s third time lucky. I’ve frantically been YouTubing James Jordan and Ray Quinn.
