She’s already begun training with her professional partner and says she’s really looking forward to the new series.
“It’s an opportunity and I was told in the past I’d never be able to run again and that was not nice to be told…
“Now the fact my body feels good, I’ve been given a challenge, an opportunity, I’m going to go give it my best shot.”
Ever the competitive athlete, she added: “I came across Kem from Love Island and we saw each other at the ice rink. He saw my skills, I saw his skills… I’m better than him!”
Perri is the latest star to be revealed after Donna Air announced her participation on Loose Women last week.

Donna said she’d met her professional skating partner and “he’s gorgeous, he’s great.”
She also admitted: “It’s absolutely terrifying. It’s exciting though, it’s looking like it’s going to be a great series. It’s really difficult.
“Apparently my posture’s terrible so I’ve got to work on that. I need to build more core strength. My daughter’s like ‘oh no, mum, you’re going to be so embarrassing.
“I’m really having fun, that’s why I signed up.”
Denise said she and Donna hang out in the same circles and she and all their friends are keen to come and watch her and support her on the show. She then asked if Donna’s boyfriend, James Middleton, would be in the studio.
“I’m sure he’ll like to see me to wobble on ice,” Donna replied. “Lots of people want to come, let’s see how I get on.”
Donna and Perri join other famous faces cricketer Monty Panesar, rugby player Max Evans, Bake Off winner Candice Brown, Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker, Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay and The X Factor’s Jake Quickenden, and Good Morning Britain’s weatherman Alex Beresford.
