ITV entertainment show Dancing On Ice has revealed the name of the third celebrity to be taking part in the new series.
Retired Everton fooballer Kevin Kilbane, 42, will be joining the likes of Love Island’s Maura Higgins and TV presenter Michael Barrymore on the ice.
The sportsman, who won 110 caps for Republic of Ireland and also played for Sunderland, Hull City and Wigan Athletic among other clubs, is getting ready to take to the ice but admits he’ll be going on the ITV show as a “total novice” when it comes to skating.
He told talkSPORT: “I am going on as a total novice. I’m starting from scratch here. This is going to be a massive challenge for me.

“I’ve been taking it easy since I finished football, so let’s just see how this one goes.”
It comes after Maura revealed what move she’s scared about the most.
Appearing on This Morning with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, who also host Dancing On Ice, Maura said: “It’s massive. [The headbanger] is what frightens me – but I think I’m more excited than scared.

“Like, I’m brave and competitive, so I think that’ll drive me… I’ve skated twice in my life just for fun, so I have no experience at all. It’s very scary!”
The twelfth series of Dancing On Ice will see John Barrowman take over as a judge with Jason Gardiner leaving the programme. He joins Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo on the panel.
Nine further celebrities will be announced in the coming weeks.
Dancing On Ice returns on ITV in 2020.
