Dancing on Ice studio is said to be ‘haunted by creepy presence’

Studio is build on disused Army airbase...

The new Dancing On Ice studio has apparently suffered from numerous unexplained incidents recently – leaving visitors seriously spooked.

The purpose-built studio was made at disused Bovingdon Airfield in Hemel Hempstead for the re-launch of the show earlier this month, but The Daily Star have reported that several people have been terrified by a “mysterious mist.”

According to the publication, experts are said to believe the bizarre goings on could be linked to the ghosts of US airmen who were stationed there.

The site contains various derelict buildings that have been abandoned over the years – and so many visitors have reportedly been spooked that it has even been investigated by the International Paranormal Society.

One source apparently told the paper: “The mist has been seen by several people. They say it suddenly appears and is so thick that you can’t see through it.

“One person is rumoured to have seen it late at night on the runway. Friends of his were waiting in a car six metres away and they said it followed him. It was engulfing him.”

Other strange reports include dog walkers claiming that a presence in the area has made their canine friends howl and try to run away, according to the paper.

It has even been claimed that some visitors have heard the sound of aircraft and Morse code, and even experienced the smell of bubblegum.

A show insider apparently told The Daily Star: “It’s likely many of the contestants and professional skaters have no idea that are preforming somewhere that is rumoured to be haunted.

“If the claims are to be believed there’s a good chance something could happen during rehearsals or even while the show is on air.”

Since the newly revamped Dancing On Ice hit our screens earlier this month, it has been reported that there are fears the show could be cursed thanks to the number of mishaps that have occurred.

During the first week of the show being on air, Storm Eleanor damaged the new studios, leaving builders working around the clock to repair them before the live shows.

While cricketer Monty Panesar was forced out of competing following an ankle fracture that he got during training just before Christmas – leading to singer Lemar stepping in and replacing him at the last minute.

The new commentator for the show, Matt Chapman, also quit after one one show – forcing ITV bosses to quickly find replacement, Sam Matterface, at short notice.
