Danielle Lloyd has appeared on Good Morning Britain to defend her decision to undergo gender selection.
The model and reality star, 35, pointed out that she’s “not harming anyone” with the controversial treatment and just wants to recreate the special bond she has with her own mum.
Speaking on GMB earlier today (19.08.19), Danielle said: “I’ve got four boys at the moment and not even just me myself, but my partner and my boys would love a girl. They keep asking for a sister.

“Obviously it’s quite difficult to explain to them, ‘You’ll just have to wait for the stork to bring the baby, maybe they’ll bring the girl’. For me, it’s just I’ve got a close bond to my mum and I want that bond as well with a daughter.”
Speaking further, the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant said she’s “not ungrateful” that she already has four boys.
Danielle shares Archie, nine, Harry, eight, and George, five, with her ex-husband, Jamie O’Hara. Her youngest, 21-month-old Ronnie, is from her marriage with husband Michael O’Neill.
Danielle went on to say that she thinks girls are “so much closer to their mums” and admitted she wouldn’t mind if her daughter was a tomboy.
Jessica Cunningham, former star of The Apprentice, was also on the debate the issue.
She said she thinks gender selection goes against nature and told the others that, while she’s “not religious”, choosing the gender is essentially “God’s work”.
It was pointed out that some couples undergo IVF treatment to get pregnant, she insisted that simply intervening to get pregnant is different to choosing the gender.
But Danielle argued: “I just think it’s not harming anyone. It’s my decision, it’s my life. Why does anybody care what I’m doing?”
It follows reports that Danielle suffered a miscarriage.
In July, it was revealed that the TV personality was expecting her second child with husband Michael when she tragically lost their baby.
She shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, posting an image with the words: “I may have only held you in my womb for a moment but I will hold you in my heart forever.”
