Strictly Come Dancing star Danny John-Jules has furiously hit back at reports today that he reduced his pro dance partner Amy Dowden to tears during rehearsals this week.
Apparently taking aim at what he imagines a typical tabloid reporter to be like, he wrote: “My conscience has never been clearer.
“My conscience has never been clearer. I take great pride being hunted down by Khaki Wearing, Doberman holding,Tobacco chewing, Cross eyed, Cousin producing, Banjo playing, Chair rocking, Night riding, Sheet wearing, Pointy hatted, illiterate, hacks who’s truth is driven by hate.” [sic]

Earlier today, The Sun claimed Red Dwarf actor Danny, 58, had been given a dressing down by Strictly bosses for swearing and shouting at his partner during training sessions, causing her to flee rehearsals on Wednesday.
Amy, 27, was left “in bits” by Danny’s broadside, according to an unnamed show source, with the Death In Paradise favourite reportedly insisting to her: “I’m the star, not you.”
The newspaper also reported “everyone” on Strictly is hoping Danny – who crashed to the bottom of last weekend’s leader board after bungling his quickstep – will be sent packing from the dance floor on Sunday.

A source is reported to have said: “Amy’s been crying constantly at the hands of Danny. He gets very angry in the training room and he swears and shouts at her a lot.
“He also makes a lot of snide comments about him being famous and her not.
“Things have been bubbling away for a while and it all came to a head on Wednesday.”
However, it is believed the pair have since resolved any problems they may have had and are back in rehearsals for this weekend’s samba.

Last week Danny slammed his fellow Strictly contestants, describing the celebs’ star presence as an “insult” to variety performers.
“I’m not a celebrity, I’m an entertainer. That’s the difference,” he told The Sun.
“I’m a different level. I’m talking about variety artists I came up working with people like Norman Wisdom, Bernie Winters, Freddie ‘Parrot-Face’ Davies and Vince Hill and on and on and on… They’re stars. Celebrities today are an insult to those guys.”
He also said anyone can now be a celebrity by appearing on shows like Love Island.
“I tell you when you know who a star is. It’s when you’re in a room full of celebrities, because the celebrities will be looking at the star,” Danny added.
The BBC declined to comment on the report this morning.
