Davina McCall is turning heads with a dramatic new look ahead of the upcoming series of The Masked Singer.
The 57-year-old presenter – known for her signature brunette locks – has swapped them out for a blonde pixie crop wig.
The images were taken before Davina’s recent health scare, where she underwent surgery for a brain tumour.
Davina McCall’s shock new look
In the striking photos, Davina paired her blonde bob with a bold pink leopard-print ensemble.
Davina has a reputation for switching up her look with each season, and this year is no exception.
A source close to the presenter told The Sun: “Davina always likes to shake things up every series, if not every episode of The Masked Singer – and that goes beyond her clothes.
“The blonde wig was part of a photoshoot earlier this year, months before her diagnosis. The two things are entirely coincidental and not in any way related.”
While the blonde look is eye-catching, the source added that it isn’t permanent.
“The blonde look isn’t a permanent one either, she’ll be changing it up throughout the series,” they confirmed.
Davina’s diagnosis
Last month, Davina revealed that she had been diagnosed with a rare colloid cyst and underwent successful brain surgery in November.
After the surgery, the presenter also took to Instagram to update her fans on her health status.
“I’m going to out my surgeon. He is called Kevin O’Neill and he has been amazing,” she began in the video post.
“Trying to find somebody that knew about colloid cysts was quite a challenge, and Kevin is very experienced. He has been brilliant. I gave him a bit of a scare after the op because I was so confused, but I’m doing so well now.
“And I just wanted to thank him and all the team for taking such really, really good care of me. Thank you.”
Meanwhile, the new season of The Masked Singer will see Maya Jama replace Rita Ora on the panel.
Maya will join Davina, Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan, and also host Joel Dommett as they try to guess the identities of celebrity singers disguised in elaborate costumes.
The Masked Singer returns to ITV1 on January 4 at 7pm.
