ITV viewers were delighted as I’m A Celebrity host Declan Donnelly took the mick out of himself – and his height – during Wednesday night’s episode.
Moments after jungle camp scenes showing the celebrities discuss the ethics and sporting opportunities of piddling in the shower aired, fellow host Ant McPartlin asked his presenting partner whether he had ever indulged in similar activities.
Dec, 44, denied he would ever do such a thing. But his initial response set up a punchline that played off and took the piddle out of his relatively diminutive stature.
“I would never pee in the shower – it is disgusting,” he insisted.

“I pee in the sink.”
An incredulous Ant, also 44, fired back: “You can reach the sink?”
I pee in the sink.
Dec replied: “Of course I can reach the sink. It is where I have my bath!”
Going by the reaction on Twitter, thousands of viewers were tickled by the quips.

“It was hilarious 🤣🤣,” tweeted one fan.
“‘You can reach the sink?’ Spat my brew out @antanddec #ImACeleb,” added another.
A third wrote: “OMG Ant & Dec r hilarious. The pee in the sink n that’s where I have a bath comment was just 2 funny #ImACeleb 🤣🤣🤣 @antanddec.”
However, despite the warm reaction the gag received in real time, a couple of viewers wondered whether it revealed something altogether more surprising about Dec’s approach to hygiene.

One Twitter user pondered: “I’m fairly sure that the sink is higher than the toilet, and Dec is a very small man so why did you choose the sink, Dec @antanddec?”
And another person reckoned the Geordie star had inadvertently admitted to taking a dip in his own widdle.
They tweeted: “Dec pees in the sink and also has a bath in the sink, has Dec @antanddec just confirmed he baths in his own pee 😂😂 #ImACeleb.”
