EastEnders: Ben Mitchell’s brutal beating by Luke Browning at the Arches

Could Ben's exit be as soon as tonight?

We could being seeing the last of Ben Mitchell in EastEnders tonight as evil Luke Browning brutally beats him up at the Arches and leaves him for dead.

Ben’s already seen the wrath of his former lover when he grabbed him by the neck and threw him up against a car last week.

The mechanic did the right thing and told Luke to sling his hook but since then Willmott-Brown’s son has tried to win back by sending him an expensive sports car.

Luke is left fuming tonight when he arrives at the Arches expecting a reconciliation.

But Ben tells him to take the car and stay out of his life. Luke doesn’t take the rejection well and attacks Ben again, even more violently this time.

Could he actually kill him?

We know that Ben will not be on the Square for too much longer as actor Harry Reid is leaving the role he’s played for three years.

The shock departure was announced earlier this year – and was met with anger from fans who think Ben and Harry have so much more to give the BBC One soap.

Harry spoke to radio station 103 The Eye earlier this week about his departure… and not only was the interview his first ever live chat on the radio, but he also did it from the comfort of his own bed. As you do!

Talking about how Ben will bow out of the soap, he told 103 The Eye presenter Johnathan McGrady, that his exit is “exciting, it’s typical Ben.”

Harry also admitted that “there’s two sides to all of Ben’s stories.” Hmm, cryptic.

He then continued, “It’s a big storyline and it will have people vouching for different sides,” he revealed.
Although he’s obviously going to be keeping the finer details of how he’s exiting the show under wraps, Harry admitted, “It might kick off a little bit.”
Well it certainly kicks off tonight – could it really be the end of Ben?
