Sylvain Longchambon has revealed his Dancing On Ice partner Jane Danson fainted during rehearsals because she hadn’t been eating enough.
Earlier this month, Coronation Street actress Jane, 40, passed out during rehearsals hours before the live show and was “assessed by medics” at the time.
Despite the incident, Jane recovered and performed with Sylvain on the show.

Now, pro skater Sylvain has revealed the reason why Jane fainted.
He told The Sun: “She’s not been eating enough for the last couple of weeks. She’s been very busy at Corrie and training on the ice every day.”
He added: “We’ve often been training between 12pm and 3.30pm, which is when you would have your lunch.
“I know she’s been eating sandwiches and not the most healthy food. I think that didn’t help on [that] Sunday.”
Earlier this month, ITV confirmed that Jane was “assessed by medics” after falling on the ice.
The star had to be carefully strapped to a spinal board and lifted off the rink.
An ITV spokesperson told ED!: “Jane fainted earlier today on the ice during a rehearsal for this evening’s live show.
“This evening all of the celebrities take to the ice to perform in Fairytale week.”
Speaking about fainting during rehearsals on the show, Jane explained: “I didn’t see it coming. I’ve been feeling bit tired the last few days.
“I’ve myself too far and it’s caught up with me. Sylvain has been great and the team have really helped me.”
Jane’s husband Robert Beck was then seen looking emotional in the audience.
Following their performance, Jane took to Instagram to thank Sylvain for “saving her”.
She wrote: “Thank you to the make up team who sprinkled their magic over me and made me feel myself again. Thank you to @slongchambon for literally saving me today. And thank you so much for voting.”
Meanwhile, Sylvain – who is married to Jane’s Corrie co-star Samia Longchambon – called her a “trooper” for getting back on the ice.
