Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford in fits of giggles over rude pudding on This Morning

We'll never look at a roast dinner the same again...

This Morning viewers know it doesn’t take much to set Phillip Schofield and Holly Willougby off in fits of giggles, but it was Friday hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford who couldn’t keep a straight face today.

On Friday, the married couple dissolved into hysterics when they saw a photograph of a rather phallic-looking Yorkshire pudding.

Yes, you DID read that right!

During a segment about viewers’ attempts at baking and cooking at home, Eamonn and Ruth were immediately shocked and bemused to see a picture of a gluten-free Yorkshire pudding.

They told viewers of the show the Yorkshire pud was Susan Archer’s “first attempt at homemade gluten-free Yorkshire pudding”.

However it looked a LOT like something else.

As the pair tried to maintain their composure, Eamonn suggested the pudding looked like “a nose”.

As Eamonn and Ruth managed to stay calm long enough to look through more viewer photos – including a dessert pizza, shepherd’s pie and chocolate chip cookies – Twitter fans shared their glee at the rude pud.

One viewer tweeted an aubergine emoji (use your imagination) alongside the message: “Haha that Yorkshire pudding.”

A second joked: “Wake up Eamonn! The Yorkshire Pudding looks like a nose!!!!!!! #ThisMorning.”

This Morning came under fire yesterday (Thursday 7 February), when Phillip surprised Holly with a basket of puppies as an early birthday present.

The TV presenter, who will turn 37 on Sunday, admitted she felt “weirdly emotional” when Phillip revealed he had organised a little surprise for her…

As Holly looked on with her hand over her mouth in genuine surprise, Phillip welcomed the cluster of pups into the studio as they were wheeled in on a bicycle’s basket.

Holly immediately welled up with tears, before asking if she could hold one.

However, as Holly expressed her joy, fans slammed the show for “encouraging this sort of disregard for animals”.

They said it was “irresponsible” and “unforgivable”.
