GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes has revealed that he spent last week in hospital.
Eamonn returned to his morning news show alongside co-host Isobel Webster this week, with the presenter revealing his mystery health scare during a news story about claims superbugs are worse than Covid-19.
GB News host Eamonn Holmes admitted to hospital
Keeping the worrying hospital news to himself until his return to work, Eamonn said: “I was in hospital the past week and the medication I was taking before I went into hospital compared to the medication I got in hospital made me keep saying: ‘Just tell me, are you doing this for cost reasons, or medical reasons or does no one have a clue?'”
I kind of felt like no one had a clue at the end of the day.
Hitting out further at his treatment in hospital, Eamonn said: “I kind of felt like no one had a clue at the end of the day.
“Medicine’s way of dealing with this is to say: ‘Oh we’ll not give you an antibiotic or have half a headache tablet instead of a full headache tablet.’ That’s not the right way either.”
His GB News co-host Isobel added: “It’s like after childbirth they’ll only give you paracetamol and it’s like: ‘Are you kidding me?’ I’ve basically been through a car crash.”
Eamonn’s health issues
Eamonn has struggled with his health over the past few years, enduring falls and numerous operations and battling chronic pain. He is now walking with a stick.
However, he didn’t say what his latest hospitalisation was due to, and neither himself or wife Ruth Langsford have posted about Eamonn’s illness on their social media.
