EastEnders viewers spotted a major gaffe in last night’s episode.
Fans flocked to social media to point out that Sharon Mitchell’s grand plan to re-open nightclub R&R to pay for the business rates owed, might not work out because she doesn’t actually own it.
The nightclub was owned by Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell before their untimely deaths in a swimming pool last year, and then passed onto Phil Mitchell in their wills.
Earlier this year Phil sold the club to Weyland & Co as part of Max Branning’s revenge scheme.
And when it came to return the club to its rightful owner, Max opted to give the deeds to his brother Jack, Ronnie’s widower.

So it’s no surprise that Sharon was shocked to open a bill for thousands of pounds in last night’s episode, concerning the club.
She quickly hatched a plan to reopen the former E20 club with its old boss Mel Owen in charge in order to pay for the bill.
But viewers pointed out that she couldn’t just re-open the club, mainly because she doesn’t actually own it.
One wrote: “How is Sharon running R & R now? Doesn’t Jack own the nightclub or is @BBCEastEnders making the rules up as they go along? #EastEnders”
Another added: “Anyway, how does Phil own the club now when Max gave the deeds back to Jack? #EastEnders”
A third tweeted: “Well #EastEnders has totally confused me.

“Phil sold the club, Weyland & Co. bought it, Max gave the deeds to Jack, and we saw Jack & Max in the R&R on New Year’s day?
“But tonight, Phil owns it again.”
Another said: “Didn’t Jack own the R&R a few weeks ago? He said this in the scene with Max.”
