Ian Beale’s return from New Zealand caused something of a stir among EastEnders fans on Monday night – but it wasn’t his argument with Masood over samosas that got people tweeting… it was his new makeover!
The Walford legend came back from visiting son Peter sporting some rather attention-grabbing facial hair – and also a new positive outlook on life.
Hmm, we wonder how long that will last for?
While some viewers thought Ian’s new beard made him look suave and sophisticated, some totally disagreed – wondering if he was about to become a tramp again like he did back in 2012.

Some fans joked that Ian’s new look could mean the women of Walford might need to watch out…
But others weren’t convinced and thought Mr Beale needed a shave – and pronto!
This week sees Ian attempting to bag himself a date with ex Mel Owen – but it seems like Mel might be the flavour of the month because Jack Branning is also desperate to win her affections.
