Because most of EastEnders’ residents live and work on Albert Square, we know there is trouble on the way as soon as they set foot in a car.
That’s certainly the case for Tina Carter next week when she gets behind the wheel and accidentally hits one of the Square’s kids, leaving them seriously injured.

Tina is shaken when she has a knife pulled on her at the cash and carry when she’s picking up alcohol supplies for the pub. She manages to escape the men but is left shocked by the incident.
This could be why she isn’t paying enough attention to the road and ends up hitting something – or someone.
At first, Tina thinks she’s knocked down Dave the cat and drives off – ruthless.
Guilt catches up with her later and she goes to check on the puss. Relieved to find he’s okay, Tina decides to forget about the incident and report the robbery.
Meanwhile, the younger residents have been celebrating Halloween with a party at Jack’s, but panic kicks in when he and Ingrid realise that Janet and Amy are missing.
The kids sneak out of the party with Dennis – but the two girls don’t return with the others.
The adults search frantically for the missing girls, but Honey’s world is turned upside down when she spots an ambulance rushing her daughter to hospital.
She and Billy head to the hospital where Janet’s life is hanging in the balance.
Janet’s accident sends shockwaves through the square and Tina comes to the terrifying realisation that she is responsible for what happened to the little girl.
