EastEnders: Carter family faces £60k crisis, Jay Brown may save the Vic

Is there a surprise knight in shining armor set to step in?

It was all very depressing stuff for the Carter clan in EastEnders last week. They were hit with a £60k bill they have no way of paying, threatened with eviction from the Vic and realised that Fi Browning was just an ‘orrible snake.

But the fans – God love ’em – reckon that help will come winging their way from a very unlikely hero.

They think that Jay Brown will step up and pay the hefty bill off for them, thus thwarting the plans of James Willmott-Brown to take over the entire square.

Last week saw Jay agree to accept £200k from Luke Browning for the land the car lot used to be on. Phil Mitchell handed the land over to Jay out of guilt for allegedly killing his dad.

Fans have predicted that the young undertaker will use his new found wealth to save both the pub and Billy Mitchell’s funeral business which is also under threat as Billy received new he was to face a tax inspection.

Viewers took to Twitter with their predictions of Jay coming to the rescue of Walford – ironically with James Willmott-Brown’s own money.

One fan said: “Jay sells car lot. Gives carters money. Vics saved. Cushtyyyy.”

Another added: “#EastEnders 60k of Jay’s cash will end up in Mick’s back pocket. It’ll be used to pay Weyland. Calling it now.”

While a third tweeted: “It’d be great if the Carters borrowed the money from Jay & so paid Grafton Hill with their own money.”

And a fourth said: “How funny would it be if Jay invested the money Luke gave him into the pub, so Grafton Hill have also been played #eastenders.”

Jay had a shock earlier this year when Phil revealed to him that the man he believed was his dad, Jase, wasn’t his biological father after all.

Phil told Jay that his real dad was the homeless man Phil had accidentally killed when he set fire to the car lot in an insurance scam for Frank Butcher.

Phil then handed the car lot land over to Jay as a way to make up for both the manslaughter of his dad and lying to him for years.

Jay was rocked by the revelation, but all is not as it appears as after Phil ‘fessed up, he was spotted talking on the phone, telling a mystery caller that he’d done it and Jay had fallen hook, line and sinker for the story.

Since then, speculation has been rife in the fandom that Jay’s real dad is actually James Willmott-Brown and Jay is the result of the newly returned villain’s second sex attack.
