Ian Beale is back in Albert Square next week – and he’s had a makeover and is looking for love!
After spending the last few months in New Zealand, Ian returns home fresh-faced and raring to go – but with his ex Mel still in the Square, it doesn’t take long for him to set his sights on winning her back.
Kathy is shocked to see her son back so soon – and instantly worries about what he is going to say when he discovers her and Masood selling samosas in the chippy.

But while Ian isn’t best pleased – he’s also desperately trying to show he is a changed man in an attempt to woo Mel.
Desperate to win Ms Owen back, Ian sets about blagging himself a date with the new club manager – but can his new makeover be enough to get Mel’s heart fluttering?
Mel finally agrees to join Ian on a date – but the Walford businessman is fuming when he arrives at The Vic to find Jack has also joined them.
So with two men lusting after her – which one will Mel pick? Um, our money is definitely on Jack!
But while Ian is busy chasing Mel around the Square, Kathy is bemused by Ian’s new positive outlook on life. Maybe Ian should have visited New Zealand years ago!
With his new slimline figure and snazzy beard, Ian is definitely a changed man. He even has a new self help book to prove it!
