Finally it seems there’s some happiness on the horizon for Whitney Carter, because her long-distance boyfriend Halfway is coming back to Albert Square!
Whitney was finally getting over her Lee/Mick/Woody heartbreak when she fell for Halfway -whose real name is Callum Highway – earlier this year.
She realised her true feelings for him just at the wrong time – as Halfway was about to leave Walford, having been called back on duty with the army.
But the cute couple have carried on their romance, long-distance, and Halfway even helped Mick out when he was in trouble with Aidan.
And now he’s coming back to the Square – hopefully to pick up where he left off with Whitney!

“I’m really happy and excited to be back on EastEnders and working with such a brilliant cast and crew,” said Tony Clay, who plays the loveable character.
“Halfway is such a lovely role to play and I’m really looking forward to exploring his story further and seeing where it takes us.”
It might not all be hearts and flowers, though. Because it looks like Woody Woodward could be heading back to Walford, too.

Lee Ryan, who plays Woody, has confirmed he’ll be leaving EastEnders “when his storyline concludes this spring”.
And that suggests to us that he’ll be arriving in Albert Square first.
