Time’s up for the Carters this week – it’s the deadline for them to pay the money they owe in order to stay in the Queen Vic.
One tiny problem, though – they don’t have it.
Knowing there’s nothing they can do to raise the cash in time, heartbroken Mick and Linda start packing up, ready to leave their beloved pub.
Mick is determined not to let Linda down (mind you, last time he said that, he ended up getting shot) and he tries his best to raise the cash ahead of the deadline, even swallowing his pride and begging Vincent to help him out.

When Vincent says there’s nothing he can do, Mick’s forced to face up to reality – they’ve lost the Queen Vic and there’s nothing anybody can do to stop it.
It seems the Carters have finally hit rock bottom – still, at least the only way is up from here, right?
Wrong!
Because across the Square, the men involved in the heist are all back to business and Phil Mitchell is busy putting two and two together and making, well, Mick.
He’s on the trail of the missing heist money and when he finds out Mel’s back in Walford, he’s even more determined to get to the bottom of what’s going on.
Mel and Phil chat and as she lets slip that she had something to do with Ben’s disappearance, Phil’s furious. But after a few more secrets are revealed and Phil realises Mel’s own son is in danger too, the pair make a big decision.
They realise that despite their past history, they’re going to be a lot better off teaming up to find the missing money, than being at loggerheads. And they might even save their sons into the bargain.

They have a chat and decide Mick is the one who’s most desperate for the cash – so he must be the thief. The question is, how far are they prepared to go to get their money – and their boys – back?
As the Carters’ last day in the pub dawns, Mick’s on the hunt for a miracle to save his family.
Sounds to us like he’s going to need one!
