There’s a new romance on the cards for the festive season when Robbie and Donna get together this Christmas.
There have been hints about these two hooking up in the past – not only have they been on a pretend date earlier in the year, but they have also spent the last few weeks exchanging cheeky banter over each other’s online dating profiles.
But it looks like they won’t be looking for love on the internet any longer when their banter turns into something more romantic come Christmastime.
With Donna always getting the upper hand when it comes to jokes with Robbie, it seems that being the butt of Donna’s humour is getting to Rob more than he’s letting on.

The road sweeper turned market inspector decides to take his grievances up with Donna and confronts her in his office.
But Whitney Carter sees what is going on between the pair and it doesn’t take her long to read between the lines.
Convinced that Robbie’s differences with Donna are actually masking underlying feelings for the market stall holder, Witney decides to take matters into her own hands and get the pair to see what’s right in front of their faces.
Playing cupid, Whit locks the pair in the kitchen at The Vic – hoping they might talk through their problems and become more than just friends.
Her plan almost works, too. Robbie starts opening up about the fact he’s worried about the future of the market – which faces closing down in the New Year.
Donna likes the softer side to Robbie and agrees to help her boss with his preparation for a big meeting about keeping the market afloat.
And as the pair continue to chat – it becomes clear to them both that there is more to their friendship than they thought.
As they lean in for a kiss, it seems they could be a couple by Christmas… only for Whitney to unlock the door just at the wrong time, ruining the moment entirely.
Donna and Robbie seem embarrassed at their near kiss and Whitney is disappointed that her matchmaking skills didn’t seem to work.

But, it seems all is not lost when Donna goes along with Robbie to see Mr Lister about the market closing.
The pair are heartbroken that their livelihood is about to be snatched away from them, and manage to team up to persuade Mr Lister to give the market a few weeks reprieve.
They’re delighted when he agrees and head off to tell their fellow market workers.
Thrilled with their day’s work, the pair agree to have a drink in The Vic to celebrate that evening.
Convinced it’s an actual date, Donna goes to great lengths to look her best and even gets Kim Fox to do her make up.
So could this be the beginnings of a new romance for the pair who are both usually so unlucky in love? Or is Donna heading for huge disappointment this Christmas?
