There’s some happy news for Whitney Dean in EastEnders as her new love interest Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway’s return to the BBC One soap has been confirmed for April 30th.

That’s just over a week. Yay!
Halfway made a big impression on Whitney earlier this year when he managed to win her heart, despite being something of a bumbling wally who shot Mick and shoved a tampon up his own nose to stop it bleeding.
His unexpected return leaves Whitney delighted, but what will her ex Woody Woodward think about his love rival turning up?
Whit was engaged to Woody last year but their romance ended in heartbreak as he went to Spain without her, leaving her a note at the tube station as way of explanation.
He tried to win her back this week, but Whitney has clearly moved on and gave him the same treatment, standing him up at the tube station.
So obviously Whit is happy as a clam to see Halfway back, but it soon transpires that not everything is quite what it seems.
Is Halfway hiding something from her?
It was confirmed earlier this year that actor Tony Clay would be reprising his role as lovable Halfway after a successful stint earlier this year.
And it was also announced he’d be bringing his brother Stuart with him, who’s set to cause problems for Linda Carter as he leads his old mate Mick astray.
Ricky Champ will be playing Stuart.
Born and bred in the East End, Stuart turns up in Albert Square following Halfway’s return from duty.
And while Mick is pleased to see his old friend, it seems that Stuart’s arrival could soon spell trouble for The Queen Vic landlord as the two channel their younger selves and get up to no good.

On joining EastEnders, Ricky Champ said: “I’m so happy to be part of this brilliant team of people on this great show that I grew up watching. Look out Albert Square… Stuart’s coming!”
