EastEnders actor Zack Morris has apologised after a tweet he posted about carrying a knife a few years ago resurfaced.
The star, who plays Keegan Baker in the BBC soap, has recently been at the centre of a harrowing storyline after his character became a victim of a stabbing attack.
In a tweet that was first posted in 2014 and has since resurfaced, Zack joked “I carry a blade on me at all times”, during an exchange with a friend when he was 16 years old.

The teenager, 19, has now said he’s “so sorry” for making the “stupid comments”.
He told The Mirror: “I want people to know I have never carried a knife in my life.
“If I could take it back I would, and I just hope that people can forgive me.”
He added: “I am so sorry to anyone that I have upset or offended, these were stupid comments I made years ago.”
Zack joined the BBC soap in January 2017, and won Best Emerging Talent at the Movie Video and Screen Awards that same year.
Last month, the teenager was involved in one of the most shocking and heartbreaking storylines of the year.
His character and Shaheen Jafargholi’s character Shakil Kazemi were stabbed after Keegan stole a gang member’s bike.
While Keegan survived, Shakil died leaving the whole of Walford grieving.
EastEnders worked on the story with former cast member Brooke Kinsella, whose brother Ben, 16, was fatally stabbed in June 2008.
Brooke started the Ben Kinsella Trust in memory of her brother to educate people about knife crime.
She said in a statement earlier this year that the storyline would “bring home the realities of knife crime to a wider audience and show how it damages the lives of victims, offenders, their families and friends forever”.
During Friday night’s episode of the soap (July 6), viewers saw Shakil’s funeral take place.

The soap featured the families of real life victims of knife crime in the special episode.
The final scene saw parents holding up pictures of their children while Shakil was buried.
