Jake took to Twitter last night saying that the forthcoming episode will be “one of the best I’ve ever been involved in.”

He tweeted: “Thanks for all the love tonight. Tomorrow night’s ep is one of the best I’ve ever been involved in. From here till Xmas, hold onto your hats people #EastEnders.”
After a tiny bit of confusion over dates, he added: “Think the ep I’m thinking of goes out this Thursday. Anyhow some amazing stuff to come #eastenders #brannings.”
Well, there’s definitely a great Max episode coming up at some point in the not-too-distant-future.
Thursday’s episode will focus entirely on the Branning family and is written by EE writing legend, Simon Ashdown, who has just rejoined the ‘Enders writing team.
During Simon’s last stint on the show he penned some of the most explosive Branning moments in history including that infamous Christmas Day episode when Max’s affair with Stacey Slater was revealed.
He was also behind Bradley Branning’s fatal fall from The Queen Vic roof in the live 25th anniversary episode.
Max has already had a pretty dramatic start to the week after he was double-crossed by James Willmott-Brown in last night’s episode.
After celebrating Weyland & Co taking the Queen Vic from the Carters, Max attempted to propose to his ‘girlfriend’ Fi Browning before being shot down by JWB.

The Willmott-Brown motley crew then told Max they’d been using him all along and burned his contract with the company along with the money he’d earned.
