EastEnders viewers blast soap over another ‘gaffe’

Er, was it actually a mistake though...?

EastEnders fans were clapping for Ian Beale tonight when he made a joke about his mum pretending to be dead for years.

Recently, Kathy has been taking the moral high ground quite a lot, particularly over the whole Jane leaving Ian plot, and viewers on Twitter have been quick to point out she faked her own death.

And tonight, Ian decided to remind his mum of the same.

This time it was Halloween she was unimpressed with, commenting she’d rather be working than “handing out sweets all evening to kids who only want money.”

She then went on to ask: “When did that become a thing?”

Quick as a flash, Ian quipped: “When you were away pretending to be dead.”

Kathy might have looked like someone had put a knife through her heart, but he had a point.

Viewers were too busy griping about Easties making like it was Halloween tonight – when the soap is on tomorrow.

Some even wondered if the show had screened the wrong episode!

Knives were set to play a big part in Tina Carter’s evening when she was held at knifepoint by some clowns at the local cash and carry.

We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see how she manages to get out of that situation.

Elsewhere, someone we’ve not seen on screen for weeks made a brief return – and looked very different indeed: Kim Fox-Hubbard.

She’s been absent from our tellies for quite a while, but now she’s back and she’s got dreadlocks hanging down to almost her waist!

She looked stunning as she took delivery of a huge pumpkin.

Elsewhere, Honey had decided she wanted Will to dress up as a pirate for Halloween, and had bought him the costume.

“All boys like being pirates,” she said.

It turns out, her little boy doesn’t and he’d expressed a keen interest in being a zombie.

But Honey didn’t approve: “No, I’m not having that, I’m not having him walking around as something undead, it’s not very nice.”

Given her husband works in a funeral parlour, she might have a point.

But she eventually gave in and Will was the zombie he wanted to be.

The show’s big doof doof moment came when Abi was wearing Lauren’s wedding dress again and hugging Steven’s clothes that Lauren had binned.

But Lauren walked in and caught her sister and looked VERY confused by the whole thing.

It’s time for Abi to confess – but how will it go down?
