Emma Willis made an unfortunate blunder during last night’s Celebrity Big Brother finale when she asked Ann Widdecombe about her cats.
Not realising those cats are dead…
Former MP Ann, 70, finished in second place on Friday night’s finale, after Shane Janek – aka drag queen Courtney Act – pipped her to the post.
During her exit interview with Ann, host Emma asked if the politician was looking forward to getting back home to her beloved cats, after spending 32 days living with so many people.

Emma asked: “How will you fare going back now to just you with your lovely cats, which you adore?”
Ann replied: “I don’t have any cats. That’s misinformation.”
A surprised Emma responded: “I thought you had cats!”
Ann said: “I used to. But they died.”
Oh…
A sheepish Emma then said: “Oh… so how are you feeling? Now she feels awful as I just mentioned her dead cats!”
Ann didn’t seem upset or offended, however, and simply laughed.
Viewers took to social media in droves to comment on the slightly awkward moment.
However, other CBB tviewers jumped to Emma’s defence, pointing out it had been well known over the series that Ann was a cat lover and how would Emma know her pets had died if she hadn’t been told before the interview.
Meanwhile, Ann told Emma that she was pretty surprised to finish in second place, especially after she turned down the show so many times over the years.
She said she was excited about getting back to living alone, after 32 days surrounded by people and noise.
“With all due respect to all of them, I am dying to back to living alone. Dying for it! I’ve been dying for it since day one in the Big Brother house.
“Then the numbers doubled and I was dying for it even more!”
During a later interview on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, Ann explained why she’d decided to do CBB this year after turning it down so often.

“I never did [want to do it]. I said no year after year, just go away, no,” she said.
“Then they said it would be different this year, the Year of the Woman, and we will have a fairly serious Big Brother. So I was persuaded that Big Brother was going to be fairly serious. At times it was.”
