The show will revolve around ordinary people who have done something extraordinary being rewarded with a performance by their favourite artists.
Speaking to the Mirror in August, Emma said, “This is such an amazing show to be part of. Imagine seeing somebody you love and who is so deserving being surprised with the performance of a lifetime by their musical hero! I think there’ll be plenty of tears, hugs and happiness!”
She gave Lorraine Kelly a hint at what was to come, announcing that the show would feature stars including Rita Ora, Little Mix, and James Arthur.
Emma said she loved the idea of bringing incredible performers into people’s lives, but that it was the human interest element of the show that really caught her attention.
“Obviously there was various things that made me want to do it but the fact it’s human interest stories and music, bringing those two things together is just brilliant.”
But when Lorraine asked how it had been to work with Simon, she responded, “I don’t know, I’ve never met him!”
“He’s so important,” Lorraine joked, “he can’t spare the time?”

“I’ve been in the same room as him like at the NTAs and things but I’ve never actually met him,” she said.
“I think once years and years ago when I first started in TV I was on the red carpet, where you’re fighting to speak to people, I thing maybe a grabbed a question with him once, but that was it, like fifteen years ago.”
Your Song is set to air on ITV on Sunday the 22nd October.
