Emmerdale has revealed when Emma Barton’s killer will be exposed.
The killer nurse – who was played by actress Gillian Kearney in the ITV soap – was hurled off a bridge by a mystery assailant as her own killer secret was revealed.
Now in a special double episode the murderer will be revealed.
The episodes will air on December 14 and feature specially-filled flashbacks for each of the suspects back to the day of Emma’s murder.

Emma’s son Ross Barton is the lead suspect for the nightmare nurse’s death with his shady dealings and being seen at the bridge shortly after Emma was pushed.
However his brother Pete is also a suspect, with his motive being revenge for his brother Finn’s death.
In the category of most likely and least likely, Adam Barton is on the suspects list having already tried to kill Emma once before.
Likewise his mother Moira has been suffering from severe mental problems since Emma’s death, but could it have been sparked by a murder?
Moira’s ex Cain would have done anything to protect Moira and their new baby so he could have killed her after she kidnapped the baby.
The final suspects are Laurel Thomas and step-daughter Gabby, who were both intent on exposing Emma’s misdeeds after she tortured late Ashley before he died in an effort to cover up her first killing.
However, there could yet be another twist to come.
Emmerdale boss Iain MacLeod has teased that much like Emma, her killer could kill again to keep his or her secret.

He said: “Will the killer strike again?
“If you’ve already committed a murder, you’d go to any lengths to cover it up – that’s what got Emma into this mess in the first place.”
