Emmerdale fans were left heartbroken as fan favourite Lisa Dingle left the village last night.
The long-term character played by Jane Cox said goodbye to the Dales after suffering an angina attack and ending up in hospital.

Lisa thought she was suffering from anoth
er heart attack and when doctors revealed the angina can be brought on by stress, she decided it was best for her health if she left.
The only person she told was her devastated daughter Belle who pleaded with her to stay.
Lisa has caused a huge rift in the Dingle clan after breaking the one family rule that no one breaks – she reported Liv to the police.
Liv had spiked Lisa’s drink with ketamine meant for Daz Spencer and Lisa was rushed to hospital where she suffered a cardiac arrest.
Since then Liv has been sentenced to four months in juvenile detention and most of the family – especially Aaron and Zak – are livid with her.
Lisa has been hurt by the way Zak has treated her since she grassed Liv up.
She told Belle: “Whether he means to or not this is killing me.
“I’m sorry love, I’m not changing my mind, I can’t stay here, please try and understand.”
She then left in the back of a cab, sobbing.
And it seems some fans were equally emotional about her exit, taking to Twitter to share their sorrow.

“This can’t be the end of Lisa. I don’t want her to leave forever,” said one viewer.
Another: “Surely that isn’t the end of Lisa?”
“Poor Lisa :(( hope she’s not gone for good,” added another.
It’s not the end of Lisa though as she assured Belle she’d be returning in a long while and actress Jane said that she hasn’t permanently left Emmerdale.
