Last night’s Emmerdale left many of its fans scratching their heads over scenes that showed unhinged teen, Lachlan White, driving with Robert Sugden as his passenger.
Lachlan put a major spanner in Robert’s plans to take over Home Farm and took him for a terrifying car journey to warn him that he’s not to be messed with.

Luring Robert into the car, by telling him Rebecca White had gone into labour, Lachlan set off at top speed, giving Robert a terrifying ride.
Robert soon became scared for his life when Lachlan’s intentions became clear.
Slamming on the brakes, moments before ramming the car into a wall, Robert had enough and dragged Lachlan out of the vehicle.
“You absolute lunatic,” Robert yelled. “You could have killed us both.”
The pair then became embroiled in a violent struggle, with Lachlan eventually getting the better of Robert and pinning him to the ground.
Grabbing a nearby rock, Lachlan told Robert: “You know I could kill you right now if I wanted to.”
He then added: “I have always wondered what it’s like to kill someone. That’s why I was toying with the idea of topping Granddad yesterday.”
A desperate Robert told him: “Just tell me what you want. You’ve got it.”
Lachlan replied: “A bit of respect would be nice.”
All very unhinged behaviour from Lachlan there then.
But viewers were more interested in where the teen had acquired his remarkable driving skills, considering he only passed his test last week.
Taking to Twitter, fans were quick to point out the gaffe.
One wrote: “amazes me. Lachlan passed his test 2 days ago & now he’s driving about like he’s @LewisHamilton. Absolute scenes”
Another added: “Lachlan passed his test last week and is driving better than vettle this week ………… what the [expletive].”
While a third tweeted: “Lachlan had his license for a couple of days. AS IF a man like Robert wouldn’t immediately say he’ll drive.”
And a fourth agreed, writing: “A nifty bit of driving from one who’s just passed his test!”
And another said: “Lachlan has been driving all of 5 mins suddenly a rally car driver #Emmerdale.”
