Syd McFarlane made a shock return to Emmerdale last night – and sent a shudder of horror across Robron fans nationwide!
Viewers watched aghast as the ‘mystery’ stalker watched Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden as they went about their business in the village – oblivious to the fact they were being followed.
Keen-eyed fans spotted it was criminal Syd dressed in the dark clothing and hooded top.
The criminal, who is still wanted by police, creepily spied on the pair as they pushed baby Seb home in his buggy.

But why is he back in Emmerdale? And what does he want with our fave couple Robron? If you’ve read any spoilers, you’ll already have a pretty good idea!
Loyal soap fans will remember that the convict (James Foster) was last seen being set free from a prison van by Aaron and Cain as they fought to free Adam Barton from a life in prison.
But far from being grateful for being given his liberty, it seems Syd’s got a dastardly plan up his sleeve.

And Syd is a pretty scary fella. He told Adam he was up for actual bodily harm, wounding, possession with intent to supply, assault with attempt to resist arrest and aggravated vehicle taking. That’s quite a CV!
Naturally, Emmerdale fans have a theory – they think Joe Tate is behind his appearance in the village.

Whatever happens, we’re pretty sure Syd doesn’t realise who he’s messing with.
