Belle Dingle is to go missing in upsetting and emotional scenes to come, we can reveal.
Emmerdale viewers have seen the teenager hearing voices recently and have every right to be fearful about her future.
It certainly looks like her schizophrenia has returned with a vengeance.
Fans of the ITV soap know that Belle has suffered from very serious mental health issues in the past. And, when stressed, she hears the voice of her late-best friend in her head.

Belle accidentally killed her childhood pal Gemma when she was younger, and has blamed herself ever since.
After being sectioned several years ago, Belle has been on medication ever since to stabilise her condition and had been doing well.
But, when mum Lisa left the Dales earlier this month, Belle’s behaviour became worryingly familiar as her old demons returned to haunt her.
In scenes to air next month, Belle becomes increasingly distracted by the voices and reacts badly when they tell her to destroy the alcohol that she has been brewing with Lachlan White.

She goes berserk in the barn, smashing up the place, and leaving Lachlan in no doubt about the fact that Belle is suffering again.
Later, Belle goes missing, and Lachlan fears the worst…
