Cain Dingle’s world is well and truly shaken next week when he discovers that Moira Barton has decided to make a shock exit from the village.

He (along with the Dales fandom) had been hoping for a reunion with his ex-wife following their night of passion and calling time on his relationship with Harriet Finch last week.
But Moira is about to reach breaking point as Cain’s mum, Faith, starts putting pressure on her to focus on family life.
She suggests Moira redecorates Holly’s old room to turn it into a bedroom for baby Isaac.
She even gets Cain a nudge, telling him that his place is at the farm with his family.
Cain turns up, ready to get painting and Moira clocks that Faith is still trying to push her and the Dingle bad boy back together.
Sadly Faith’s interference looks like it’s going to have the exact opposite effect as Moira rounds on her for pushing her into a family dynamic she doesn’t want and trying to get her to forget about Holly.
She then tells her former mother-in-law that she’s planning on leaving the village because she can’t move on from Holly’s death while she’s still living at the farm.
Moira relays the news to Cain, who rushes round to the farm, pleading with Moira not to leave.
He then tells her that, if she loves him, to meet him at the bridge at 5pm and Moira is left frustrated and confused as she thinks about what she’s going to do.
